still talking

I just sent a blog in via my word programme but can't add an pics- a disappointment as it does check typos.

looking the blog up I thought boy! the name sounds a bit nostalgic which was not my intention. when creating new work I usually feel I am a bit daydreamy and a source of inspiration lately has been places I have travelled to and things I have seen. I work for my memories and impressions of these places.

Prior to this body of work I have taken inspiation from things I have seen and let imagination and the hands of the Gods in the creative process help to produce the finished pieces [ you can see above an image of pieces in my last exhibition "Botanica Exotica"- inspired by a visit to the Singapore botannical gardens]
I wonder why the bogger pops the pictures where it wants and not where I want?

Blogger improvements...

Blogger now can be accessed through the word programme- that is good perhaps not so many typos- one can but hope.

I am so bored at the moment – no longer having Uni hanging over my shoulder I have time on my hands, leaving for India in less than a week I have everything organized and being away for 5 weeks am loath to start to much…
My intention whilst away is start a new habit or two!

Sketch every day – just something to get the observational skills building
Start getting fir- I have spent so long in front of the computer and rushing around I have become a blob! I always walk a lot when I am away- I want to see everything! So it will be a good place to start.

you can see how i started out wondering what to do with this blog idea, I
have since finished all my work for University- now just need to await the results and the piece of paper.

all of a sudden I have tiem on my hands and so little is seems to do.

been busy this week working towards ideas for my next exhibition.
I'll see if I can load a photo[ this is where i got frustrated last time and left the blog behind....] fingers crossed

I did it! Boy does it take a while to load up...

the starting point for this piece was the wrapping cloth around a parcel from India[ posting a parcel from India is so cool- it is stitched up before you send it.

well the theme I have been exploring for some while is travels and other places... so I took the wrapping cloth ripped into 12 and used it as the basis of each small piece.

I am off to Inida again next week and will take those pieces to hand stitch whilst i am away.

OOPs that photo of India was supposed to land down here.

it is my favourite photo- I love the shade of red. It is the elephant parking spot at Amber Fort outside of Jaipur- absoutely beautiful.
