Camels are for Love Well- with the first camel I met up close and personal it was love at first sight. It was the days of being a Steiner/ Waldorf School teacher my class and I were on a 3 week camp in Far West NSW and at Silverton, taking a few days camping in a swag and travelling by camels. Those camels were so friendly, more like giant cats and so gorgeous. I was hooked. Time went by.... Almost got a camel to keep at my mates place.... Started to travel and visited Rajasthan, India. There, they say camels are for love, probably just a tourist thing to get you to buy a miniature painting. I did and I found love..... :) This and that, my love and I started leading textile tours because people wanted to explore textiles like I did in India.... We managed to find camels in India, Syria and Morocco to be part of our tour experiences- yes bottoms and hands on riding! Finally we settled in rural Rajasthan and my love gave me a surprise birthday present- Baba my very own camel. Baba. Here are spreading camel love on tour in Morocco 2018.... nothing like the view from Erg Chebbi the first of the big dunes of the Sahara. #creativeartssafaris #storiestotell #travelwriting #textiletravels #textilestories #rajasthan #camel #camellove #crafttours #textiletours #traveltolearn #travelwithlove #experientialtravel #handsonexperiences #wanderandwonder #culturaltourism #learningholidays #traveldeeper #littlevignettes #inspiredtravels
