Fried bread and potato. Classic junk food in so many places. Gujarat the twist is in the spices on the potato. Spicy and divine. Compliments of a wandering train vendor. So our little escape to Bhuj started out as it has for the last 5 or 6 years waiting on the station in Ajmer. Usually train is 15 to 30 minutes late, but no problem. You get on have picnic dinner, make up your bed in the clean cotton sheets provided, crash out and wake up almost there. So this time train was 2 hours late and we wake up and look out the window and it looks like we are crossing the Sabramati River in Ahmedabad??? Apparently there are 2 timetables for a train of the same name. The short trip and the long trip... For the first time, ever we have struck the long trip. Ohh joy. Really just means shuffling our schedule. More snoozing today and more running around tomorrow before hitting the beach and chillllllll Travel is like that some days.
