Casablana and Fez again...

The entrance to the hotel I am going to use, the lions look ferocious but the staff are friendly pusy cats!

the courtyard, cool and relaxing

dinner in that flash place I was mentioning...an excellent meal
back in Fez a restored home in the Old Medina

hanging out with some great people during another day on the road doing research...
Hichan, my man in Fes took me out to the surrounding villages[ we brought some of his mates along and had agreat day of it!]
During my research I had heard of this market, so that is where we were headed- Hicham had never been to it on this busy day and was impressed!
it was very much for locals, friendly and wonderful!! but ohh so dangerous- the rugs and pillows were so desirable, the vendors interested in what I was doing rather than into hard sell techniques...

my friends dressed me up in this Berber cloak [ called a Handira]
it was really soft and beautiful...you can see all the other wonderful stuff behind...
Hassan is holding a broache that would be used to hold the cloak together.

Last day in Fes- for the moment, a place I want to spend more time in...
meeting a man tonight who specialises in antique textiles...
off across the Atlas Mountains tomorrow towards the Sahara...wow!
