home sweet noisy home...

I should have known something was in the air; for a few days before the boys arrived our normally peaceful garden was a raucous rumble of frantic mother birds feeding newly fledged babies....constant Mum, Mum, Mum feed me....
our whole house is like that now, not quite the same words but definitely the same tune.
Have not even seen a sunrise for a few days or at least not conciously...
Really enjoying it though...this is Mohid Praveen's youngest....rather quite, sort of  a wise old soul...enjoying himself but also a little reserved, loves his Papa-ji
Rabi, the oldest; lovely boy, good with his younger brothers, thoughtful....needs to think things through as he goes along and then quiet perceptive....the boys don't have a lot of English and my Hindi is poor, Rabi will really think out of the square to try and work out what I am saying....
Santa Claus....our middle boy Monish, thought we should convert to Christianity for the day of Christmas so we could have presents.... his Papa and I did not see that happening....so when we were up in the market and he saw this he really wanted it....in a moment of indulgence I bought it...then he thought he had me, surley with this in the house we would have to have Christmas now...and of course presents!!!
here you would say Monish is challoo....clever.
In between hotels and stitching we have managed to hang out and do school holiday things- I found a Connect 4 game- love this one....
I had a million kids in the car, our 3 and a friends 4 with one ring in...yes a lot! Praveen's boys have adopted our place as part of their home and there they were chatting to the other kids OUR camel has a name - Baba, OUR cow is called Matilda....OUR chickends are called....? what is their name by the way...oooh no name? oh well they did lay an egg [very good of the girls to perform....2nd egg just at the right moment, when the boys are there to collect it!].... funny to hear...nice to see them settling, this is way out of their commjunity expereince, Papa having a second wife and them visiting. We have just floated the idea to them our family is special and a little bigger than other Indian families....seems OK they know my son who was here Zac[ he is called Zac bhai which...brother] been happy to have stories of the rest of our Australian gang...it is all new and interesting.

We had a good Ozzie style fire when we had visitors for dinner, first time Praveen had ever lit a fire like this ...couln't get over how the smoke gets in your eyes....part of the fun isn't it?....we roasted bananans in the skin stuffed with chocolate....now everyone likes this new Australian idea...
How I ever maintained this type of pace and worked 60 hours a week when my 3 boys were young and I was all alone I don't know....I am having fun but am totally exhausted at teh end of each day....and I have Praveen here to share the load...he is totally wiped out too, as he is having the much more hands on parenting experience I expect as an Australian. Everything is new for us all....and coming along nicely.....lovely boys and a joy and privilegde to have them in my home.
