Home Pukka Place- Homestay

We are full of plots and plans and ideas at the moment....I used to read a story to my boys...can't for the life of me think of the title, but the characters used to eat cheese and pickle sandwiches whilst hatching secret plans and clever tricks!! we just need some real cheese and we would be right in the story as we burn the midnight oil scratching our heads.
We want to develop the idea of Our Pukka Place-Homestay, we are both excited by that...but spreading out and using up all our farm land has not been quiet right....and it will start to feel like a hotel...
what do we have now that is wonderful? that is here? where is the heart to our home? the centre of warmth we will share with our guests?
The Studio Courtyard is that wonderul place, everyone who has come into it have gone "Wow , this is so peaceful"....we are thinking we can use it as our centre and go up from there....make our new rooms upstairs to our existing house; it keeps a home feel, utilises what we already have and preserves farm land for food production....

Our house needs a little more finishing, and things hung up on the walls rather than piled on a table, but it all here and a good space to have a group into....
initial plan is to re-develop existing studio and guest room ready for visitors, add 2 more rooms upstairs, and make a new studio building in the far side of the Studio Courtyard [yes that courtyard is huge] utlize our existing kitchen for meals...
next year we will add 2 more rooms and extend behind with another kitchen, dining hall/ sitting room, that could also be utilised as a bigger workshop space, make a BBQ area and staff accomodation.
Having the second kitchen would mean we can then use our kitchen for cooking classes, but also close off our section of the house for our privacy and have a homely feel to the rest for our guests.....
Our garden courtyard is starting to rock on and is another nice space for sitting and reading a book....drawing etc
Style will be simple, rustic farmhouse, white walls, bespoke iron furniture, lots of colourful textiles on beds and walls....
Oue kitchen will be the centre of the home now, but in future become private again for us and a place to hold cooking classes.
Here is our gorgeous nephew, Sunil,  he popped in quickly for a cuppa with some guests of his: never a shy boy he is always full of fun and ready to ham it up for the camera.
