rain, rain where are you?

We have tried everything to bring on the rain, clouds are here but very stingy.
We sent off a huge batch of work to the dye man, usually that will bring rain and he can't dry it,
then we sent block printing toour printing lady and every time we mentioned her it spat but not enough to call it rain, just enough to stop her printing....
so yesterday we gave up and headed up Jaipur way to order our first blocks carved....
Starting off with one of Zac's Love Man designs [here is his stencil] we are going to Grafitti cloth not walls [not that he does THATTT!!! either, apparently not any more....you know kids stories]

Here is a sketch I did from it...

and a floral of my own design....

Salim is the gentleman who will convert these to repeatable prints
and Nandu-ji will look after the priniting for us...look at her delightful boy Radhi, he is so lovely I almost want one just like him...almost only :)
Nandu has a range of blocks she uses which I love, some really special florals, I knew she would know some one who would have just the eye we would like to do our work....
These are some of Salim's paintings to inspire would be clients....I can see much inspiration opening up here.
Ohh a very good trip and just a little more to add to our storhouse of local textile knowledge...how everything works.
also bought another 2 sewing machines for the workshop and this amazing industrial steam press...busier by the day....painting soon for me to play with some graffiti ideas for our range...hhhmmmm fun.
